Multiple sclerosis….what benefits with adequate food?
After several years, power dealing in patients with multiple sclerosis, I can assert that the correct and specific power benefits the patient because the applied pharmacotherapy, In fact, in synergy with drug actually, the diet manages to guarantee a state of well-being and health as dictated by the WHO in its definition. The diet in these patients represents, among other things, a good reason against itCheck your physical condition and walking ability, which clearly improves in the presence of a useful and necessary weight loss in some cases. Even in cases of normal weight patients, the applied diet led them to acquire a better self-awareness and above all contributed to improving the daily food choice with a variety that acts with an anti-inflammatory function on the entire organism and against the evolution of the pathology, although recurrent manifestations cannot be ruled out. Nutrition in the presence of multiple sclerosis, regardless of the type, must be aimed at the intake of a large part of foods rich in Antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatories, without excluding the main nutrients, but by controlling the intake of fats of animal origin which appear to have an incisive role in the onset of the pathology. Multiple sclerosis is a pathology characterized by lesions of inflammatory origin affecting the nervous tissue.
Such inflammations in the brain and spinal cord are activated and kept active by inflammatory mediators, which are produced by the body by means of a fatty acid, arachidonic acid, the organism itself produces small quantities, but sufficient to carry out certain metabolic functions, however, while this process is regulated and limited, the amount of arachidonic acid in the body, depends on external input, that is, the quantity of arachidonic acid taken in through diet. Therefore, dietary attention for those suffering from multiple sclerosis aims to limit the intake of arachidonic acid as much as possible to avoid encouraging the onset of new outbreaks of inflammation.. This is what the diet must avoid, carne, sausages, eggs and other animal products. On the contrary, plant foods do not contain arachidonic acid, therefore they are particularly suitable for patients suffering from multiple sclerosis and together with antioxidant foods, for example those containing Vit.C , Vit. And, Vit. D, they represent a dietary protocol that also maintains an organic pH tending towards the basic value. And’ This is another indispensable condition to counteract inflammatory processes. In conclusion, the primary fats in this type of diet are represented by those contained in oil seeds and dried fruit. Specific daily amounts are recommended.
